Can’t pass is a lie, we just watched him against EvertonNo right foot, can’t pass. If he can’t turn and shoot you don’t get anything from him. Hopefully Cherki starts next game. In terms of creativity they are leagues apart

Foden in midfield is just not cutting it. He’s not really a proper passer, his first touch is weak, and he thinks too slowly. By the time he decides to play the ball, the chance is gone. He’s not a creator or a playmaker, and that’s not enough. We miss midfielders like KDB, Silva, or Gundi who could control the game and deliver perfect passes.

Can’t help thinking he’s not fit. Doesn’t have 90 minute legs and has little to no pace, esp late in games.
Feels like he should be alternating playing with with Cherki in the 10, so they can both have impact, until one of them becomes droppable.
However, I wouldn’t be opposed to him playing RW and coming inside, with Nunes on the overlap, with a Stones - Dias - Gvardiol back 3, with Cherki playing RM.

I thought he was way too quiet first half but did some good stuff in the second. Took the ball well in very tight spaces at times. Villa made that pretty difficult for us and Phil

I’m a bit surprised by the negativity here tbh. More mooners made him MOTM than any other outfield player. Thought he had a decent game in a poor team performance.

He had a sort of mini revival last season and then he was carted off to the left wing - was it Chelsea game? - and it was like he crossed event horizon never to be seen again.

Phil Foden is a country mile behind competitors like Eberechi Eze and Cole Palmer, and Morgan Rogers is even better than him .
People are just happy because he looks at least interested this season.
Funny Villa fans was saying Morgan Rodger’s been shite! He is just coming to form now like all players they go in and out of form seems our players need to be in form every single game no drop offs.

I dunno, just not sure at all, he was on fire a few seasons back scoring regularly and assists, then the injury came, and not been same since, odd glimpses here and there but nothing consistent and now not even considered for national team, sad times for his career it seems
