True, but had a much better season.
Their number are pretty similar.
Rashford's numbers are similar to Cherki's: 24 G/A in all competitions, 14 G/A in La Liga.
Rashford: G/A every 94 minutes
Foden: G/A every 182 minutes
He's got to pull his weight more ie Defense, off the ball work no matter who's the boss. Was just looking at goals but fair enough.
Can't wait to see Cherki's numbers next season now he's an established starter.
For precisely that reason. Nobody outside of City fans will click on an article that says Phil signs new contract, but they'll all want to know where he's going if he's offView attachment 191190
Never ceases to amaze me, the spin the media put on any story. Any non City fan who hasn't been following developments could think "Oh, are they trying to sell him?". Why not say "Man City make Phil Foden contract decision"?
It's annoying, but I suppose I should be used to it at this stage. For precisely that reason. Nobody outside of City fans will click on an article that says Phil signs new contract, but they'll all want to know where he's going if he's off
Not surprised since marmoush 300k/ week contract .
Last big contract of his career why wouldnt he ? I guess the decision would of been above Viana , I reckon Khaldoon has been involved in this one.shouldn't have got a pay rise, and its a bit rich of phil to ask for one in the current circumstances tbh but I suppose he was always going to, and club cant risk letting him go.
Their number are pretty similar.
As much as Phil's underperformed in the second half of the season, he really is held to different standards.
All that shows is stats aren’t everything. Unless you think Pep is cluelessHe really is.
This season he has 13 goals, 5 assists. Last season he had 10 goals and 5 assists.
Same goal contributions as Doku who everyone is saying is unplayable.
Delighted he’s signed. He needs to play ahead of Semenyo for the run in. Get him back to what he’s best at. Cutting inside and arriving late in the box.
Not surprised since marmoush 300k/ week contract .
We all love Phil, we all want him to succeed. We know he has the quality to do it and hopefully he finds some answers. But this isn’t without risk. What message does getting a long term contract and pay rise on the back of two very poor seasons (6 weeks pre Xmas aside) send to others across the squad? Does it not raise the expectations of those currently performing about what they can expect? In fairness they didn’t have any wriggle room - let him leave and he flourishes again they look daft. In 18 months he could be in line for a ballon dor or on loan at Everton. Waiting game.
