5 Days in Italy, Where to go and why?

We spent Christmas 2019 in Verona for a week. Lovely place.

We took the bus to Lake Garda on 22nd December and took the cable car up Monte Baldo and had lunch and a few drinks in the restaurant at the top. Gorgeous clear day with amazing views.

Then caught the train to Venice 23rd December and spent the day there. It was when St Mark's Square was flooded so we were wading around in the water. We had an amazing sunset too. Can't wait to go back.

Christmas Day was spent mooching around Verona Christmas markets munching away on market food and then up the hill to watch an incredible sunset over the city, with a couple of beers.

We've spent a weekend in Turin before too and that's a pretty beautiful city. The guy I sit next to at the match recommended it to me so I took my partner there for her birthday.

We're going to Florence for 5 days in September. Can't wait.

Due to my background I have been going to Naples all of my life and love the place, it may be scruffy, chaotic, dirty, etc but that is all part of the experience but whenever I catch the bus from the airport to the docks (always an interesting 20 minutes or so), I often think of the first timers who have booked a glossy Amalfi Coast or island holiday wondering what the hell they have come to!
That was exactly my thoughts
