didnt have a lot to do , but what he did he completed with aplomb , i wrote him off at the beginning of the season and then you witness an assured performance like tonight and it makes you wonder. But he needs to do it against top opposition not a bunch of Greek waiters.

Did what he needed to do. Should get the remaining CL games and of course the cup games. I think hes lost his starting position to Dias but no shame in that, in an ideal world I presume Ake plays at LCB this evening rather than a Dias and Stones partnership but still had to come in and do his job.
 
Hard to determine based on what little Olympiacos offered but at the least he looked confident, played some good passes and looked to have a turn of pace. Wins so many headers. Looked very good with Dias.

How the fuck was Garcia getting game time ahead of him?

Maybe Pep didn't think he was ready. He seems to have overcome that hurdle though. Hope it's not another false dawn.
 
Played really well - Will do his confidence the world of good. Let's hope this is the start of a good run. Chuffed for him to be honest.
 
He's a momentum, confidence fragile player.

All he needs is a few of these type of performances back to back to get up and running again.
