Big John was like a rock today, and as I said in the MotM thread, it’s no coincidence that we kept another clean sheet with John back in the team.

He has been immense since he came back into the side and is playing possibly playing as well as he ever has for Manchester City.

Let's hope he can stay fit and that those niggling injuries are behind him.

he is one of the best centre backs in Europe at passing the ball out and everything we do goes through him.

Very happy for Stones. I will hold my hand up and admit I was supportive of moving him on this past summer. Just didn't think he'd ever be physically or mentally fit enough to turn it around here. Needless to say but glad that I was wrong!

Hope he can stay fit, but most importantly it's great to read that he's been able to put the personal issues behind him. Some things are more important than football.

Center back has gone from an achilles heel to strength in just a few short months...

One year ago if we'd said "John stones will be the heart and soul of the tightest city defence in years and look the part", it probably would have been part of a Christmas skit. Really Great to see him back.
