Amazes me how he keeps fit for England but not us, probably more is expected from him in a City shirt in fairness

He does tend to go through spells, for a while he'll pick up a knock almost every time he plays but then he'll have a period where he stays fit for ages.

Fingers crossed anyway, we need him next season.

The PL is more intense and he plays more offensively with a lot more time on the ball. With England, he is more static and his job, primarily, is to defend. We have also not faced peak opposition.

He looked imperious last night. As long as he can get through the final unscathed then get a decent break, he should come back to us for pre-season in good shape after putting together a tournament worth of performances.

Even my doctor was praising both him and Foden this morning! He knows my City allegiance but didn’t know my JB allegiance until this morning. :-)

Was superb tonight, Seems to be always fit for England do players plays through injuries where as at club level the medical staff will not allow it? Just asking the question.

Maybe playing for England is much more relaxing.. ;)

Unlucky for playing them onside for that goal but he shouldn't have stopped running, one more step and he would have been perfectly positioned to stop that cross

John always gets plaudits for his technical ability, stepping into midfield ect,but tonight he showed he still a top class defender winning headers and blocks great player.
