No other club in the league has the capacity to have a centre back on 250k a week spending 1/2 the season in the injury room. They would have cut their losses.

He's 19 months left of his current contract, doubt he'll be offered another contract. That's if he's still here in 19 months.

Absolutely but the club must be planning to replace him in the summer at the latest.

And it seems highly unlikely that it will be a player coming through the club.

Great player but the end of his City days are very close.
