5 | John Stones - 2024/25

One of my all time favourite City players but him and Nathan are made of glass. We just can't rely on them anymore. We should bring in someone like Branthwaite as an understudy.

Understudy? He’d play every week. Stones is a passenger at this point, a well paid passenger.

Stones is also one my favourite ever City players and when fit was/is better than Branthwaite will ever be. But he can’t stay fit. So Branthwaite coming in, which i’d be in favour of, would mean Stones makes way.

Swop Stones for Braithwaite, although the latter has also had some major injury issues.

What’s wrong with this fella no word on an injury is he suffering from a mental illness like depression or something

Unfortunately I think we seen the best of him, only seems to be fit for England games
Remember a couple of international brakes ago he was just coming back from injury played 90min for England and started the next game for England and went down injured after a couple of min to the game. I’d say Pep was absolutely fewmin with that

Plantar is a fucker. I had it for about 2 years, excessive running and cycling would cause it to erupt. Absolutely fine while exercising, but once you finish, it hits and doesn't stop. On bad days the pain would radiate through the heel, into the ankle and calf, and on a bad day, right up to the back of the knee. All of this subsequently affects other areas as you then have to adjust your gait.

I had physio, which involved a lot of stretching for the calf's, and some shoe inserts which were over £300. All this helped. However, while it was improving, I tore my meniscus when doing leg day in the gym. I have since had the knee surgery - a little over 4 weeks ago. So, the plantar is better but might because of how little I am doing of late. The physio mentioned shockwave therapy as a solution if it doesn't heal.

If this is Stones' issues, I hope he can get over it. He'll have the best advice and facilities available. It can be fixed.

He's a brilliant footballer, and badly missed right now.
