Why move Ederson on?
because he wants to go it seems. and his form until the last 2 game in my view was not good - we were conceding some soft shots, even the own goal from dias at west ham he doesnt react quickly enough. you can never point the finger at him amd say ‘he should have saved it’ but a great shot stopper pulls off an incredible save on some of them and he rarely does one of those

his big USP is his distribution but the opposition dont press us anymore like they did in 2018. they know to drop off and therefore we dont need his great play with the football

As I understand this condition needs rest. If he returns too soon it can lead to other problems e.g. back pain as those with this condition adjust their balance with walking and exercise to overcome the pain in the heel area of his foot. John has history of back problems.

Needs of the team may mean he will have to play through the pain. The adrenaline of a match will probably see him through a game but the pain after could be bad.
This is a hard condition to play through, as the inflammation makes it worse. And it can lead to more chronic problems. I’ve had a mild case and it’s debilitating. I don’t think I’d want a player on the field that had that type of pain.

Plantar fasciitis is a tough injury. Tends to linger. I love John but unfortunately he will need to be one of the players we might need to cycle out in the summer. Great player when fit but too brittle.

He’s been fine this season - fitness wise. There’s not a chance he’s going in the summer!

they all need to move on

ederson, walker, stones, gundog, de bruyne

only bernie id keep out of that generation
TBH think Peps loyalty is his only weak spot seems to hold on to senior players too long.

The state of this.

Played 4 90 mins and 2 120s in the space of 3 weeks for England then another 90 mins in the September internationals followed by 2 more 90s for England in October but has only mustered up 4 90s for us this season i find this totally unacceptable and it’s clear he’s chosen country over club and if he goes away with England in November and plays 2 90s for England in November and comes back injured again we need to consider his future here

I'm hoping there are a few who hang up their International boots very soon, but then again their days at City are numbered now anyway, that's the reality, as much as people don't want to see it.

Numbered but not over

Yup, not quite, but will be at end of season, and you know how time flies when you're enjoying yourself, so to some of these it will feel like 3 years off, but it isn't.

Gundogan already has, albeit to no advantage at the moment, KDB has to be next, along with Stones and Walker, Kovacic can't be too far off neither, things they will need to consider to prolong their careers.....but will they?

Will they fuck, because the enjoyment they get by playing for their countries in places like Macedonia and Latvia is unbelievable, and then moan about how many games they play.

Every player we have wants to play for their country. Stones has in the main been excellent for us this season. There’s not a chance we are considering his future.
