You don't know that.

Stones is on 300k a week. That would be OK if he could start 30 league games, which he has never done. One from him and Ake has to go, 1 injury prone defender is enough. Akanji and Gvardiol have been overplayed due to their injuries, Dias too. Normally, Dias is quite fit, but even he is getting injuries now.

I do. Defence is the least of our concerns and it is the midfield that is the priority. Stones can still provide decent cover for the season.

Jonny can stay as long as he produces when available as he's filling an English slot in the squad. Would probably sign a pay as you play type deal with a lower basic aswell can't see him being the sort to kick up a fuss about money after he's been here so long and won so much.

Rico has another season of being on the U21 list. If Kyle goes that's a spot gone, Carson is season to season. A lower paid one or two year extension wouldn't be a bad idea, given he's got a young family and has been here for so long that might be an attractive rather than a move for him

I'd like to know what games your watching...
Before you jump on that, yes I am aware midfield is a shambles also and if you have a strong midfield you can get away with the defense but as it stands our defense is either half fit and patched up alongside burnt out and finished.

We need a complete reset.

Plenty want to keep a perma crock around the squad on 200k a week rather than sign someone who can contribute for more than two games in a row but what do they know ;)

Yes, some real great blue players will or may be gone at the end of the season. All good things come to end:(
 
Been great for the club, but time to try and move him on in the summer.

The issue we will have is any club that take him will want or expect him to be fit for every single game, which they know will be an issue.

No problem to keep him around if that is the case, but he becomes a squad player then and not someone to be relied upon.
