Love Jonny Stones. Not only how mint he is on the pitch but his easy to join in song helps with the atmosphere.

Truly one of the best I've ever seen at City. Think it is time for him to move on.

I wish he would have walked away from England and focused on his fitness

On Saturday the crowd singing his song was immense again.

Ake was on the bench and available on Wednesday.

Well he had to play after 8 minutes even though he’s been out injured. We have to rush players back because of the overall number of injuries we keep getting. No idea what happened to JS but he’ll be out until the England game then suddenly will be fit

I'm not singling out Stones for our bad season mate, just the fact he's always injured and it has been a few seasons now.

We are in the shit because we haven't shelved him, we kept Kyle too long too,
With the benefit of hindsight we have kept certain players too long although none of us were moaning in the last couple of seasons when we won almost everything apart from the League Cup.

Again mate I don't think people are moaning, from what I am reading a lot of people are only stating an opinion but are sad about it.

I love Stones and rank him as our best ever defender (when fit).

However, I have had a big issue with him continuing to play for England. If you’re rarely injured and playing week-in-week out then it’s great for players to play internationally.

If you have a record like Stones, I think you have to accept you priority needs to be the club that pays your wages and knock international football on the head.

Agree totally

Going off his reaction coming off the other night, I think he knew his City journey was over.

Immense player for us, but it is time for a change.

He can't even really be sold, he will stick around until his contract runs out.

But we have to build next season around him and consider him a "bonus" if he ever happens to be fit.

Nothing about his quality, he is immense, but one of the biggest problems this season is we can never find any semblance of "regularity" in the back squad, other than LB, the other 3 positions keep changing constantly.

Akanji is out for the rest of the season and I have doubts he can stay fit too (along with Ake), we DESPARATELY need some signings in the summer.

Correct I don't see anyone buying him, especially if injured and expecting surgery

If he's to ever hope to play for us again after surgery, he has to retire from international football.

No ifs or buts.

Not a chance of that. He is on record as saying his career goal now is 100 caps, hence he has been fit for England more than us. If he achieves it great, but hopefully on someone else’s wage bill. Great player, but done at City.
