I remember working abroad during the eighties tuning into world service to try and find our result. Of course it nearly always faded out at the crucial time. Chance gone it could take a day or two to find our result. Of course more often than not we’d lost :)Pfft. This just doest have a place in modern coverage. Back in the day you had to know when this was on and tune in to find your teams score. If your were following a lower league club and you missed you would have to get the paper the next day. Then teletext came along and you had a solution so this became a relic.
What a blast from the past.Match postponed.
The pools panel predict home win.

My sincere apologies. I’ve not listened to them for a few years now. My memory isn’t what it once was.Hedgehog Gutter Brushes if you don't mind.
This feels wrong this. It’s just part of Saturday to me… since we got good and have kickoff times all over the place it’s not quite the same but I used to enjoy tuning in on the way back from a game.
BBC Radio 5 Live drops classified football results
The traditional reading out of the football results at 5pm on a Saturday is axed by BBC Radio.www.bbc.co.uk
Never the same when James Alexander Gordon stopped reading the scores out
Its what happens when all the BBC haters cheer Dorries and her like on to cut the cash - something has to go.
Its always the typical human reaction then - yes I knew something was going to happen but I never thought it would affect me. To keep covering live matches with a license fee freeze in 10% inflation the money has to come from somewhere - we can all just enjoy hearing more live matches involving the rags and dippers
