Horse shit. Brosnan was utter turd as Bond.

In more recent times it has proved to be a smart move to bring Bond closer to Ludlum's Bourne in terms of plot, script, characterisation and storyline. Otherwise the whole Bond franchise was in real danger of becoming nothing more than an anachronistic parody of itself.
