Our calendar is larger, we have an extra cup competition, and our league is bigger, we have so many blank saturdays pre christmas for stupid meaningless internationals, then from boxing day to the champion league last 16 we are plating all the time. I do agree with what you are saying, but if the alternative is to basically throw a competition, then i dont like it.
 
This from talkshite news. Man. City are furious with the F.A. over the timing of the Chelsea tie on the Sunday afternoon prior to the Kiev away game. This tie should clearly be Saturday at the latest. City have written to the highest level in the F.A. stating their case and the fact that the F.A. should be supporting English teams, not hindering them, especially with the current speculation re no of teams from P.L. allowed in Europe. Will it do any good? Doubt it.

Agree, also agree that this is not the 1st time that the fa has shafted an english club in europe.
If we lose the 4th cl place the fa will want an enquiry into why but wont look at themselves. This is what happens when you have business men running our national association rather than ex players, managers etc.

Yeah spot on also its the FA's own competition & with the BBC only being able to show all PL cup ties live they couldnt care less about English clubs in Europe.

I'm only talking a day, in Spain the CL teams play on Saturday rather than the usual Sunday, in England they are often moved to Sunday from Saturday. The three managers I mentioned (Mourinho, Wenger and GPC) have been moaning about it for years and were dismissed with it being the price of success. We dont help ourselves in this country at all, footballers being forced to play when tired are at a greater risk of injury or burn out, then we wonder why we are fucked at summer international tournaments. Our calender might be larger, but other European countries have a winter break, so the fixtures for the likes of Barca, Real and Bayern come as thick and as fast as ours do when they come back from the break, its just their FAs help them as much as they can.

Nobody wants to throw a game but things like this force the club to prioritise the competitions, the FA cup is currently bottom of our priorities.
 
Why not pull out of it completely?
They are a set of utter twats, I'd say fuck it and concentrate on the other trophies
The Agenda against us continues unabated
