5th Round - confirmed Sunday 4pm kick off

Except for Mourinho, Wenger and GPC moaning about it all the time, other than them, nobody has ever moaned about fixture pile ups.

Modern football in a nutshell. There is more to the game than worrying where the most money can be earnt. We have been shafted i agree, but it doesnt mean we should roll over and die, thats not sport, sport is winning against the odds, playing for the people who pay to watch you. I find it pathetic that we are just go and meekly accept our fate, i would sooner see us take 6000 fans to the bridge and play like our lifes depended on it, doesn't mean i am right, just my view.

What fucking squad, have you been on Mars or something, have you seen whose injured & you want to run Aguero, silva etc into tho ground, 3 games in a week ffs

not been to Mars sunshine, but i was at villa park, the names you mention didnt play there, nice try.

If we play the reserves against Chelsea but all the superstars in Kiev they'll all be shattered for the final.

So quite possibly we go out of the FA cup and lose the final in one shitty week.

It won't be any consolation that we've ground out a result in Ukraine which might help to take us through to the QF of a competition we aren't gonna win anyway and that most of us don't give a shit about.

Most of us except the owners of the club. Do you really think they give a toss about the capital one cup and the FA cup?

We have not played any of our big name players so far in the FA cup but have progressed basically because the opposition haven't given a shit about it either. It's being treated the same as the Capital one cup for most sides nowadays. In fact the clubs lower down in the league probably take the CO cup more seriously as they are not involved in relegation fights at that point. There are only 5/6 teams who will take the FA cup seriously and who will win it realistically.

In the last 20 years it has only been won twice by teams outside of us , Liverpool, rags, Arsenal and Chelsea. If you add Spurs and Everton to the mix, it is 4 times in 34 years.

We unfortunately have drawn one of the sides who can win it so it suddenly becomes tough. We don't need to play kids just 7/8 players who won't feature in the Kiev game.

However there are 4/5 players who could play in this and the final but miss kiev and a few more who could do this and Kiev but miss the final.

The side won't be weak, just not our strongest. I don't expect to see Silva, Fernandinho or Aguero anywhere near this one.

With the size & quality of your squad is it really an issue to play on the sunday?

Dont get me wrong tv & the FA take the right piss out of us especially us fans, but we were made to play Liverpool away on the sunday(Stevie G/Demba Ba day) & then had a CL semi v Ath Madrid on the tuesday.

What if you play two strong teams in both games & win both, it'd seem like a fuss over nothing, i wouldnt be surprised to see you win both games either.
You say " the size of our squad" surely its the same 25 as yours.

Dont know where you have got that I have said we should roll over, just your assertion was top teams dont moan about such things is wrong, the opposite is the case, they do moan. Other countries like Spain, help their teams by allowing them to play fixtures earlier, our FA make us play them later, more interested in money than assisting our teams, says it all.

What is this common misconception that city have a bigger squad than everyone else?

Competition rules are in theory the same for everyone, ie the max squad size is 25 for the league and minimum 8 of those have to be home grown, and although you don't specifically have to register a squad for the cup as far as I know it's inevitable that you use the same squad, so even money bags city can't pull extra players out of our collective arses for the fa cup.

Ergo, our squad list is no bigger than Chelsea's, or any other premier league teams. No matter how many pundits or fans refer to city having a big squad, it's bull.

I didnt necessary mean you have a bigger squad than anyone else, just for a club like mine you should have enough cover for most positions, i posted that before i found out you only have 14 fit players.

Ive just replied elsewhere explaining what i meant, i meant enough quality & cover across your squad to rest players, but that was before i saw you only have 14 fit players.
