But is football easier to recover than than football? Because teams have gone away to Russia on a Wednesday and then played on the Saturday, or gone to Greece on a Thursday and then played on the Sunday, or played in the Prem on a Saturday and then travelled to Romania on the Tuesday and nobody says a word about it.Chess, darts and Basketball are slightly easier to recover from than football.
That is the question. But is football easier to recover than than football?

But when it's Sunday-Wednesday it's a big deal?
Not so much Basketball. It's very hard on the body, especially if you're a big guy or a post player where you're constantly taking hits from other guys who are 6.10 and 260lbs.Chess, darts and Basketball are slightly easier to recover from than football.
I agree mate
Back in the day e.g. the 70's teams played in all these competitions with a squad of 12 or 13 players week in week out and not one complaint from anyone
Looks like it's us two against the world on this one
In 69/70 we played 61 games including 42 in Div 1 and 9 in the ECWC and 7 in the LC. And with an all English squad apart from 2 Scots, Willie Donachie and Arthur Mann
I don't recall anybody complaining about it back then
Spot on!If you tell the players enough times their tired they start to believe it. Pellegrini is great at that!!
