5th Round - confirmed Sunday 4pm kick off

Yeah well it seems the manager agrees with me.

"My way is to try and play in every competition with the best team,” he said. “I think it [the FA Cup] is a serious competition and not a competition you can throw away. But at this moment, with so many injured players and the chance to try and get to the Champions League quarter-final for the first time, I think it’s a case where we are going to prioritise."
So it must be right,he agrees with BluePhil18.
Maybe, thats why he wont be here next year.
What a short sighted attitude, lets not play every game as we might get injured.
If only he had known,he could have pulled Vinny, kdb, nasri, navas, silva, zabba, the game before they got injured.

It's fine, he'll play some of our talented academy players, they'll get a positive result at Chelsea and we'll all be saying why the hell hasn't he used them sooner. We'll then watch our usual 11/14 fit players go and be uninspiring and get defeated in Kiev and then lose the league Cup final to Liverpool.

Maybe De Bruyne wouldn’t have got injured if we hadn’t flogged him to death. That Everton match was his 39th of the season, and we were only in January. He played the full match in the league cup vs Sunderland even though we were 4-0 up at half time, the full match in the league cup against Hull, a Championship team.

But the injury had next to nothing to do with any of that. It came from him being flipped over Robles leg with his studs caught in the ground.

To me, MP has looked at it and seen FA cup away at a tough place, 3 days later Kiev away in the cold, 4 days late, Wembley, 3 days later, Liverpool away. With limited senior players, and some of those not totally fit (Silva), he's made a call. Of course, it backfires if City don't with the league cup, but I don't think he should be expected to be able to predict the future.

So Vinny had been flogged to death when he got onjured (after 5 games) Clichy had been flogged to death when he got injured (before the season started,Zabba the same,I can go on.
You cant play or selecet teams on Maybe,If or buts.
We have been rotating players over the last 4 seasons and we have had more long term injuries than I can ever remember.
So MAYBE,you should play for whats happening in the present and stop guessing what might happen in the future

I read hundreds of posts similar to this in 2012 and again in 2014 when we won the league both times and in far worse positions than we are now. Clearly if we have your mentality and many others then I would agree the league is gone. Fortunately many don't and I sure as he'll hope the players and management don't

I certainly don't believe when push comes to shove that Leicester will have the nerve to get over the line when it comes to crunch time, particularly when they have the rags, Everton and Chelsea in the last 3 games.
The big difference between now and those two seasons is our form and our ability to win 7 or 8 games on the trot. There is no evidence what so ever to suggest we can put such a run together this time. But football is a funny old game and maybe we can discover a rich vein of form and put in a winning effort.

The biggest difference is not beating any of the top 6

Whilst many injuries have been bad luck, a lot have been muscle injuries that suggest that players have been over-worked or not allowed sufficient recovery time. There are strong rumours (so make of it what you will) that many of our players have been used when not 100%. Fernando played a large amount of last season when carrying a knock. By playing when carrying injuries you just risk injuring something else or making the problem worse. Because of the number of unfortunate injuries we've had Pellegrini has decided to risk players that aren't 100%. We'll never know which ones were already carrying knocks before they were injured, but I'm pretty sure we've not helped ourselves here - we needed to trust our academy players a bit more considering the number of games and lack of fit players we've had at times.

I had an ankle injury that I tried to run through a few months back, I ended up with an injured knee - I'd sub-consciously protected my ankle and as a result had run funny on my knee and screwed that up. It can happen quite easily. A lot of our players seem way below their best and that's not just poor form/old age, it's got to be more than that. We started the season incredibly well and you don't decline that much in 6 months.

Any idea how many tickets you've sold for sunday lads? i'm guessing you've sold the full 3,000?

Not sure why but Chelsea have said there's no beer on sale in the away end sunday, load of bollocks that is, we always have the same at Spurs away, i'm also in the Shed upper sunday so it'll be interesting to see if we'll have beer on sale.
