5th Round - confirmed Sunday 4pm kick off

Chelsea will be more pissed off at being drawn against city than the other way around I'm sure. I fancy us to get thru.

Yep, below is the first post on one of their forums re the draw...

'Oh dear what a horrible draw that is. Well face the best in the FA cup and the dark horses in the CL'

no Jamie Redknapp this week so it was Greame Le Saux's turn to spout the bullshit as if its gospel..."they've turned the corner"....they beat MK fuckin Dons a soon to be League 1 team ffs,"their unbeaten in 9 now" he spouted....check out just who they've played in the last 9...i know its a big improvement in not losing but would you be happy drawing 3 out of 4 at home to lower to mid table teams?its a far worse draw for them than it is for us.....

I'd prefer to win the FA cup than come close in the champion's league. So I'd play the strongest team against Chelsea.

It's more important for the owners and in a general commercial sense to progress in the CL. Same for attracting players. Do you think that, for example, Messi would agree with you? The FA Cup is now a peripheral event, in my view, although it'd be nice to win, of course!

I take the Chelsea game as a 'free hit'. May as well go for it, with some kids and/or regulars. This is not a game that is going to have any significant impact on the club's future whereas progress in the CL will. That's reality, my friend.

A quick journey thought, London to Paris. I've been on longer bike rides.

i wouldnt say it's journey time that's the main factor (through undoubtedly a slog to russia is a bit more arduous than a jaunt to paris) but it does seem to be a pattern that away games in europe are followed by slightly diminished performances in the league/cup the following weekend
