5th Round Draw/Leeds at home (all in here)

Those games we had with Leeds, my first being a 2-2 draw at Elland Road in '74-75 were massive games. More so than Leeds v Rags (which was hatred above the quality of either team. The cup ties there (in successive seasons) were something else...City were always there in big numbers, I dont remember Leeds bringing anything like to Maine Road until the early 80's. Great occasions though, and hope the sensible majority keep a lid on it, and sure the game will be one remembered for the right reason, ie a good old fashioned Lancashire v Yorkshire tussle on the pitch.........Should be a cracker!

Got a soft spot for City, ( I know its not recpricated before anyone has a pop) ! Got some good mates who are City fans who have been there since the 70s-

The older generation might have a problem with Leeds but I'm not bothered. I think the Directors who sanctioned all the spending should've been strung up as the fans didn't deserve it. They're a huge Club and to see them languishing in the 3rd tier for so long was sad.

You can bring 6000 but Wigan won't bring 600.

Correct. Wigan are still more deserved of a Premier League spot though.

Sell out/ticket prices/attendance for leeds?

Mods please don't merge with the the 'fa cup fifth round' thread.

I think if we charge £20 adult and £5 kids city & leeds we'll sell it out.

Leeds have a good away support.

Expected attendance?

Everyone is going on like there will be a riot, football has changed since the 80's.

There might be one or two scraps between people after the game, but a lot of you are getting carried away.

100% correct football has changed, however a large number of Leeds and Millwall fans still think it is 1985. Trust me, this will be a big jolly boys outing for Leeds and their idiotic contingent.

spot on with last sentence.... had a few my age already giving it the 'Everybody will be out for City' spiel..

If the rapscallion from Leeds who took my City scarf from around my neck back in 1974 has finished with it, I would appreciate its swift return next month. Washed first, if you don't mind. Thank you.

Why the fuck do people do that? The scarf could've been a present from a loved one and mean alot in terms of sentimental value.
