5th Round Draw/Leeds at home (all in here)

I think the ground will be packed for this game.Should be a good atmosphere with Leeds bringing 5000.I think Leeds fans make more noise than are hated rivals Man United.Looking forward to are home matches in February Liverpool Leeds and Chelsea.

Got a feeling the powers that be will televise the
Luton v millwall game early on either the sat or the sunday.

Millwall have been to Luton several times since riot and nothing much happened. Think city Leeds with rags at home same weekend will be the bigger potential headache. Has to be Sunday you would think.

remember goin when we won 1-0 to leeds wanchope had a blinder of a game leeds fans after the game saying they shouldn't be losing to the likes of city times have changed

If it's the same one I'm thinking of, wasn't it 2-1 Steve Howey and Weikens with Wanchope on his own up front? Class night

Best game in a city shirt wanchope that night

Leeds fans are a bit pissed off that we haven taken their chant. We Are the Champions - Champions of England. Their original was "Champions of Europe" although they didn't quite achieve that. I live in Leeds now so there has been some good banter since the draw.

They have two good young full backs but the rest of the team is pretty ordinary - although Ross McCormack can find the goal.

Most Leeds fans are just looking for a good day out and the away end will be taken up by loyal season ticket holders. No doubt a few nutters will make the trip but not on the scale of old.

My first away game was the Jan 78 Cup tie that we won when the ref had to take the players off the pitch and threaten to abandon it before the game could re-start. Even as a seven year old, Leeds fans said take you scarf so you make it back to the bus Safely (those were the decent ones in those days).

Leeds have to come through oldham to get to the etihad looking it at

You have everton (liverpool) to get to oldham and you have leeds to get to man city which they have to go through pennines then come off at oldham (stadium not far from motorway) and go straight to manchester

The manchester leeds train will be packed with city and leeds fans coming to the game

Most likely

Man City vs leeds Sunday 12.45 kick off
Man United vs Reading Saturday 3.00
Oldham vs Everton Saturday 5.20

3 o'clock on a Saturday? Don't be daft.

*edit* sorry just seen your rvp thread and realised you can't help yourself.

Potentially a really interesting game this

No-one comes and gives it a go at our place anymore (save for European ties). Seem to come with a men behind the ball gameplan which we're used to unpicking. Can see Leeds being more direct and going for it a bit more.

Should be a good one

I thought Watford gave it a good go. I found their gameplan a refreshing change from the usual defensive stuff, but then it is the Cup, and sometimes a gungho attitude pays dividends.

I'm looking forward to the game against Leeds. They have a good record in the cup games, and I hope they arrive with attitude. FA Cup games decades ago were blood and thunder, end to end encounters, they always drew bigger crowds than league games, and I'm hoping for a bit of that again.

Leeds train goes through Huddersfield and Stalybridge unless people get on the one that takes twice as long via Hebden Bridge and Rochdale.

Even for an early start a lot of away fans will be pissed up. Know lads who travel with Leeds who get on the coach at 5amish for trips like Cardiff. Not that I'm tee total on match days
