I think had Pep known how good Stones was going to be this season, he probably wouldn’t have signed him. He hasn’t played enough to form a real opinion and when he does play, it’s always in these thrown together 8/9 changes sides which don’t help. Whether this signing will work out long term is debatable at this stage. Niggly injuries haven’t helped.
Yep a fair assessment, though I think he was also signed as an insurance policy in case Laporte suffered any recurrence of what was a serious knee injury last year

Tired second half but the little I've seen so far I think he's as good as all but Ruben. I think next season will be a face off between him, Laporte and stones (even though that seems daft right now). We can't get away with having 4 top class centre halves in their mid 20s for very long, but hopefully we can try for next season. Sooner or later it will become clear, but right now I'd have no qualms with him being one of 3 going into next season (if Laporte was to go). But flat footed at times but great reactions, a good character, good defender and a threat on set pieces. I'd wait and see for now

He did ok until he burnt out midway through second half.He is what he is,a decent Prem defender who would be first choice at anything other than a top 4 club.
Something he could definitely improve.....He doesn't seem much of a talker/organiser/leader.

Not played enough this season and injuries have certainly not helped. Whether he will be happy with 4th choice cb remains to be seen.
