Would like to see him next to Stones or Dias for a prolonged period. I think he's a good player. Not sure if he will stick around too long as 4th choice.

Great to see everyone getting behind Ake in the match day thread, just like they did Mahrez and Gundogan who sadly never repaid the faith
You can’t compare. Gundogan was great at Dortmund. Mahrez great at Leicester. They got grief because everyone knew they were capable of much more than they were giving.

Ake was average in a shit Bournemouth side and some were left scratching their heads as to why we were interested in paying £40m for him. Some slack has to be given because of his injuries but as 4th choice CB, I’m not sure he will ever get a long enough run in the side to prove doubters wrong.

Thought he started really well but that first goal was really, really poor. Then there was that weird fuck up in the second half. The stuff like not holding his line properly is a bit more understandable due to lack of matches with us but that was a pretty bad performance.

Nah, they got grief because people were nobheads

Not a bad player but struggling for fitness and form. Looks as if he’s finding his feet at the club, understandably, and would look different paired with Dias; doesn’t strike me as the dominant one at the back four yet.
