Su-fucking-perb. Saka was an absolute non-entity as soon as he was switched to left back. He's pocketed supposedly the best winger in the league if not Europe right now twice within a month and looked as calm and casually as you like doing it.

Nathan Ake baby, Nathan Ake wooooahh
He pocketed a player that kept falling over and annoyed the hell out of me. Ake sussed it.

He knows what Saka is about, just let him fall over and nick the ball off him. Not really arsed about his passing compared to others hes a rock at the back.

What a performance that was.

When he went to left back the game was over. Saka got nowt out of him again.

When he did the crab across the floor and blocked that shot, haha, class.

Saka may as well have just gone off when he moved to left back. Completely shut him down. That one where he went to ground to stop a clear chance at net was as good as a goal.

Pep needs to play him at left back and bring In Laporte and Dias partnership at the back and we good to go

The thing with Ake is that he doesn't have a brainfart in him at all, always rock solid at the back despite his limitations on the ball, and he seems to play better when we're under pressure.

Criminally under rated is our Nathan. Puts his neck on the line time and time again. Shades of Zabba in his play and attitude. Consummate professional.

He certainly has a ceiling when it comes to aiding our attacking play, but his defensive ceiling is far higher than anyone seemed to appreciate when we bought him. Mr Consistency and looking like a truly astute signing - has done for a couple of seasons now.

Yeah and for the attacking minded players we do have, its a very nice balance having him and Dias on together to shut the other team down!

Would Cancelo have shut down Saka?

Not in a million years!

A good move in keeping Nathan Ake for us and shit for Chelsea in not meeting our valuation
