Hope he’s back for the dippers against Salah. I like Gvardiol, think he’s phenomenal, but Ake is steady and has pocketed Salah before.

Yeah i'm not throwing Gvardiol out with the trash here, he's young he's new and he'll improve but i think people have rushed to a premature judgement about him based on how comfy he is in possession and the way he drives forward with the ball. Ake's just much more solid all round, maybe it's down to experience but he thinks like a defender whereas this kid doesn't seem to yet

If it's a minor thing they usually ask them to report for evaluation from their medical team so a bit concerning it might be more than a slight issue.

Has to be the only player in the squad whose injury record has gotten noticeably worse since signing for us. He was notoriously reliable and always fit at bournemouth. Picking up far too many injuries. Can't have him and stones this injury prone with so few options in the squad
