6 | Nathan Ake - 2024/25

If worse comes to worse.. it may need surgery like KDB did.. which is approx 5 month recovery? Hopefully he's back for the Feb and March stretch.. if not sooner!

But these constant international injuries are getting old!

Perhaps, but his running and energy are desperately needed in midfield. If he’s withdrawn from there to cover left-back, then the extra miles have to go into the legs of our senior midfielders.
It doesn’t have to be much different for him when he plays there? He is playing right back now. He can still get forward from the left when he plays there. And to balance it, Walker or Akanji play RB, becoming a right centre back in possession.

We can still play 3-1-6 with Rico at LB instead of RB. KDB just pulls over to the right instead of the left like currently. Rico left of the diamond, KDB right.

Rico played left back for England tonight and was still camped in the attacking line.

Not against the idea, just think he’s better where he is. We also need to utilise Nunes.
