Very decent on the ball and showed remarkable composure but as soon as we were on the back foot he showed what he is, a raw, young CB in a struggling team.
Only small positive to come out of the last two weeks. We still shipped plenty of goals with him in the lineup but he's showed more bollocks than anyone else. That turn under pressure in the first half and some of his passes into midfield were lovely.
Hopefully this lad will be around for a long time. No one can knock his contribution yesterday, he did his best in a makeshift defence. One player who can hold his head high after yesterday’s result.
Problem yesterday was that walker didn't trust him. Their goal when walker was in the wrong position was because walker was trying to cover for the young lad.
Maybe he needs to tell walker to concentrate on his own game.
Nice to know we have an option deep in the ranks who can come in and do a good job if Akanji, Dias, and Gvardiol all stay fit and the team's in better form.
