need Arsenal to hang on here, Arsenal/Everton on neutral ground love our chances, Liverpool attack just too unpredictable would rather avoid them altogether.

Agreed. Liverpool have so much pace and are deadly on the counter. They always seem to be a touch team for us. Arsenal doesn't have the same deadly pace without Walcott. Though Arsenal getting bounced would increase the media pressure on them for not winning another trophy. Could effect them in the league.

Great draw. Another game at home which should lead to a win. Lower league team while Arsenal/Liverpool vs Everton takes out 3 of the toughest teams.

how does this work?

Fantastic draw altogether.

United's win also means there may be a very interesting Sheffield derby in the sixth round if Sheff Wed can get past Charlton. I'm hoping that will be one of the TV games. g
That's odd. When did Sheffield Wednesday get through ?

my bad! for some reason I thought they are already through!
had to edit my post a bit then:)

Does Barry cup tied if play against us in FA cup?

Someone posted earlier he can't play against us in the FA Cup, which has me thinking IF we play Everton in the final would Barry get a medal?

Here's the rule on medals:

(b) In addition to the FA Cup, The Association shall present 30 medals to playing staff and
officials of both Clubs in the Final.

That's poor English as it could mean 30 medals in total or 30 medals each. It must be 30 each.

It's then up to the club to distribute the medals how they see fit, so it's possible that Barry could end up with both a winner's medal and a loser's medal without playing in the cup final if we both get there. In this scenario it's likely that he will only receive a medal from Everton for whatever they achieve.

Also, there is nothing in the FA cup rules to stop Barry playing against us in the FA Cup (not looked up league cup or UEFA rules). A season long loan is treated as if it is a permanent transfer:

15. j (iv) Players on season “long term loan agreements”, are not considered “loan” players for
the purposes of the Rule, and are therefore eligible to play in the Competition.
('The rule' refers to clubs having to get permission from the lending club to play)

Now, in previous arrangements before the premier league rule barring loan players turning out against the lending club 2011-12 ish (not sure) clubs would have a 'gentleman's agreement' whether or not the loaned player could play against the parent club. The terms of Barry's loan may have a yes/ no clause in it, so we don't know unless somebody from either club or Barry himself says so.
