Squad is smaller with him leaving, would be even smaller if he stayed ;)Turned into Bruce Lee during training.

Ake is more defensive minded than Cancelo. Which means Grealish should have more space and a safety net.Regardless of what's happened, this transfer makes us significantly weaker for a tough run-in.
Sometimes these things happen and you just have to get the player out of the club. The problem is that we didn't sign a left back in the summer. Our squad planning at the moment feels atrocious. Hopefully, this season is a bit of a kick up the arse (if you excuse the pun).
There’s a good reason he’s already had 5 clubs…..Hes always been a difficult character. But I'm asking the question what on earth has changed?
Its a big fall from grace.
You just know this will happenI just wait for us to draw at bristol and some sad-sac starts a why did we loan out cancelo thread in a really cringy knee-jerk way.
My friend’s mate said we’re signing Geoff Thomas, Mido and MessiAny news of a 9pm signing?
It's got all the makings of one of those threads that are started after a mediocre first half.I just wait for us to draw at bristol and some sad-sac starts a why did we loan out cancelo thread in a really cringy knee-jerk way.
It’s not always about on the field. Our squad is too small to cope with defensive injuries, particularly at full back.
He should either have been fined and told to get on with his job here til summer, or replaced.
We‘ve weakened ourselves here.
As long as Geoff isn't walking through the black country he might make it, he got lost last time if I recall on the wayMy friend’s mate said we’re signing Geoff Thomas, Mido and Messi
Even without all the rumours about training pitch misbehaviour etc, the facts as laid out in The Athletic article make it crystal clear why he had to go, to protect the squad from a toxic influence and a player intent on undermining the manager. There's absolutely nothing baffling about it.I'm really disappointed in this to be honest.
Cancelo signed a new deal not so long ago and he was our best player at stages last season, what on earth has happened?
So we lose a player to a champs league rival just like we tossed 2 good players to Arsenal in the summer.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle have all strengthened this window and we have lost a player. Maybe we are content on runners up this season.
Deep down my fear is that Pep is losing the dressing room and some serious rifts have developed.
Its all about opinions and I know cancelo is a fiery character but this move to me is baffling.
I don't think there are too many leavingThere are too many leaving for a club like ours. And despite Haaland his goals, I think we haven’t played better or improved from the last 4-5 seasons.
I heard we laid some broken glass down in the midlands to divert him awayAs long as Geoff isn't walking through the black country he might make it, he got lost last time if I recall on the way
Stone will be getting very excited at grilling Pep on the subject. Will be interesting to hear how Pep publicly handles the entire affair as you know it will unfortunately be the main topic of the Spurs pre-match presser.
Except its baffling to explain how our best player last year more or less has had a big fall from grace.Even without all the rumours about training pitch misbehaviour etc, the facts as laid out in The Athletic article make it crystal clear why he had to go, to protect the squad from a toxic influence and a player intent on undermining the manager. There's absolutely nothing baffling about it.
That article also outlines the brief timeline of the disintegration of Cancelo's relationship with the club, which explains why City haven't had time to find a suitable replacement. The club didn't have any viable option other than allowing JC to go to Munich as arranged by his agent at his request.
we have set a very high bar in the last 4-5 seasons so is understandableThere are too many leaving for a club like ours. And despite Haaland his goals, I think we haven’t played better or improved from the last 4-5 seasons.
Pep could be right to loan/sell him on. Time will tell.
I guess Pep simply will refuse to commend on Bayern players.Stone will be getting very excited at grilling Pep on the subject.
