Letting him go on loan without an adequate replacement weakens us. Unless pulls a rabbit out of his hat sharpish we're left with only Ake and Gomez at LB.

Laporte has played LB for us as well. Not too bothered with this season. Looking towards next season

I think the key wording from jacks article is saying we won’t be short ‘if’ we fail to get a replacement in.

There is no way we won’t be trying to get someone in over the next day or 2. But saying we will brings an enormous amount of pressure. Basically saying if we can’t get someone over the line fear not as we have faith in remaining players.

Cucurella on loan for the next 6 months maybe. With chilwell back and him not settling.

No real issue with letting Cancelo go if he's become a disruptive influence, but not replacing him when we're already lacking a proper left-back is extremely stupid imo. Weakening the squad at such an important stage of the season defies logic.

Shit timing but this isn't the first player bust up incident and it is not going to be the last.

We`re going to get taken for mugs by Bayern as there`s no way they`ll cough up £61.5 million for a stop gap that`s covering an injury situation. But atleast he`s temporarily out of the dressing room.
