Delighted he’s playing well so far.

I hope he’s their best player between now and the end of the season, scoring and assisting for fun whilst playing a key role in the best back four in Germany - that way either Bayern will be so desperate to sign him they’ll take up their option, or some other Club will come in and outbid them.

He’s not coming back to City, despite what he said in his press conference, so his only use to us now is to earn us as much money as possible!

I just wonder if this fucking about of players positions that Pep went through a month ago pissed some players off, as well as Cancelo who was just pissed off with not playing

good shout

maybe the pep outburst after the spurs game, some players thought fuck you ? I am doing a job for the team by covering that big fucking hole on the left side of our defence and you're digging me out, also playing 3 centre backs and Rico Lewis tucked in the midfield, meaning the midfield and holding players are being asked to cover so much ground,

we have been all over the place at the back this season and never the same defence are playing each week and crop and changing the setup also is pep idea
 
Hard to judge him playing for Bayern. Yes this season their league is closer but it’s the equivalent of him going to Rangers or Celtic.

He’s not going to be tested defensively which was his main weakness but he’s a very good technical player. Basically ala Sane it’s all a bit meh where you can be a flat track bully.

Still hope he does well and either he returns to City ( unlikely) and does well or it increases his transfer fee.

The inverted fullback system is designed so that his team has to cover less ground to defend, not more.
 
Why are people trying to convince themselves he isn't a top class player?

I'm glad he's left after the circumstances but he's absolutely one of the very top fullbacks in the world. We've seen it first hand. Course he has parts of his game that could be better but he's top class.

The club has done the right thing but like him or not, top player and will likely be excellent for Bayern.

If Pep is comfortable with the options we have, I'm happy to back him.
