Cancelo's attitude has been very poor since the World Cup. Given the form of Ake and Rico playing I'd say no great loss!
This 100%

Cancelo has been the main instigator since World Cup, now we know why Pep called out players

Either fucking get back on the train or fuck off

Walker, Foden, Berny maybe not been at the races although Kyle's 2nd half performance shows he's City no matter what

Berny I guess just wants to go & not the Bernardo of old although he doesn't give anything but 100% on the pitch

Phil we all know has shit on his own doorstep more than once so injury or mot his head isn't in a good place where his cock allegedly has?

Cancelo has had 4 clubs in 7 years??

Apparently happy with the cover we have. So no-one coming in... 1 senior fullback & 1 leftback who used to be a CAM. Who I feel if Pep thought was good enough would have been getting some minutes here and there since after the World Cup. Shambles

City would say that (and actually believe it) if we didn't have a single full back.

It's a bizarre blind spot at the club which makes absolutely no sense.

A lot will rest on Ake's shoulders now,and pray that he remains injury free for rest of season, although Pep is not opposed to playing Laporte there as well, what nobody seems to have mentioned on this thread yet.

fuck this ****. guy never cared about the team just about himself. what a stinking attitude to have. probably one of main person stinking the dressing room behind the scenes. good riddance!
Good to see the club been ruthless for once, a good sign for the future in my humble.

I'd agree that's a great deal but is it true? Bayern could be crafty and not take up the option
They lost Lucas Hernandez for the season in the world cup didnt they, wasnt he a left back? Not a chance they pay 60 mil for him in the summer, just using cancelo as a stop gap whilst he recovers.

Won’t he be cup tied?
Yes - I should not have posted that hoping he would be humiliated but am a bit peeved at his attitude. It took him ages to get up to speed when he arrived and there was the feigning injury thing that was embarrassing.
He will have an easy rest of the season playing in a farmers league as Bayern stroll to the title again.

Yep I don't trust bayern peice of shit of a club aswell hate them

How to turn on a player guys , lol
To be fair he’s always come across as a petty knobhead. However, had some amazing games for us particularly last season. Joy to watch on his day but also absolutely horrendous other days

Feels like something is rotten in the dressing room at the moment and if its cancelo then get rid for sure.
But he was one of our best players last year, whoever has jointly contributed to that no longer being the case shares blame here.
I include all coaches and Pep specifically

To think we’re not replacing him is unbelievable
Ake has been class, I recon someone last minute comes in?

It seems Pep is sticking with the 3-2-4-1 that we've been playing, and that Ake, Lewis, Walker and Gomez gives us enough cover to do it. Which is probably fair enough, but it's a bit of a wild card.

Something as not been right at the club for a while

If Cancelo is the problem, not sure we will ever find out, then he had to be removed.

The issues I have are what others have already said.

Why only an option to buy and not an obligation to buy

This leaves us short of cover on the left, Gomez not good enough IMO

City would say we're happy with what we have regardless of if we were looking. Given the way Chelsea have been jumping on every single transfer we wouldn't want to outline our intentions in the press, we'd go about it quietly. Very well maybe we won't get anyone but I have a suspicion that Porro buy back may be activated. Small risk in that we can always sell him on If it doesn't work out

It’s a good job Ake has stepped up. I feel ‘safer’ with him at left back - pace, aggression and comfortable on the ball.

Perfect for almost any winger he comes up against really.
