Started the game by randomly smashing a pass across the front of our box to their forward. Then had a great game.

He's a high risk high reward player, when he's on it he's ridiculous, but when he's off it he's also ridiculous in a less enjoyable way.

He's undoubtedly an asset to have though either way.

Perfectly put.

IMO We just need to get a quality LB who can challenge his position to give him a little bit pressure to push him better... And as we see Walker is getting older I think there will be enough minutes to split between him/Walker and the new LB.

Best thing he did all game was that recover sprint second half, he sensed the danger and put on a full sprint, bursting back past others who were blocking his path to get to the ball in our box ahead of I think it was Bowen. Outstanding awareness.

Hopefully more of our fans start to understand he's afforded more license on the ball than others because the pay off is too high to ignore, which is the same for KDB. It naturally means more mistakes than most too but we have to accept that.

Second only to Haaland today in terms of impact on the game, no other fullback in the world can do what he did.

Apart from that 30 second bout of stupidity at the end of the second half, I thought he played very well. He is obviously still building match fitness and when he does, I expected a fair few assists to Haaland/Alvarez and goals, with much more secure defending.

He has genuine quality and ability, but its often spoiled by his casual approach and his risky play.
As a left back in the traditional sense,he's more of a liability......in a Pep team,he can be a very dangerous and creative asset.

I guess the positives outweigh the negatives, but he does frustrate and frighten the life out of me at times.

We still need a proper fullback.

I thought he was brilliant at times yesterday. A real midfielder's performance. There perhaps you have the problem that he poses. He's not a genuine full back, especially on the left, and he's not being played as one. Apparently, he has full licence from Pep to roam.

The ball across the box near the beginning was poor. Stupid, too. It's a basic that's coached out of you at virtually every level of the game.
