Something is wrong imo mate, it’s not normal after what Omar did last season even after he’s been injured for a few weeks? Savinho starting or getting in ahead of him is fucking embarrassing!

I think today spoke volumes about what Pep thinks of him in the pecking order.

I think we brought him in with the expectation of being a dynamic winger who could play as a 9 when necessary, but it's clear the club doesn't think that at this point, and they are betting more on the ceilings of Doku, Savinho, Cherki, and Bobb, and possibly another one we bring in the summer.

I don't think the club and Pep believe in him as a winger, and He isn't getting in over Erling. I think if there is a way to get out of it in January (Will be difficult because of AFCON), we should take it.

Yep. We bring two players on who have scored the grand total of 2 league goals in about 80 games between them when we need a goal.

The subs were shit and we got worse when they came on. Abolsute crap decision from

Aside from Haaland, probably the only player who knows where the back of the net is. Yet Savinho and Bobb who barely have 5 goals between them come on instead when chasing a game.

I don't mind Bobb when we trying to close out a game but Savinho over Marmoush is criminal in all the times except in early cup rounds.

The system we used before would suit Marmoush (i.e. fast transiitons/counters) as it does Doku. Haaland, Cherki and Foden...so we need to put faith in it more than the slow turgid shite we put out yesterday and incorporate Marmoush more

When you need a goal it was odd not bringing him on - I can only assume that him going away for a month at the AFCON is hampering his selection, which is mad. He has to be one of those wanting a move away in January.

I do get why Pep thought 2 wide players would help stretch the game when Newcastle were sitting deep and defending with 10 men but christ on a bike to have Savinho - wiggle, step over, pass sideways then wiggle wiggle again (1 PL goal in 38 games) come on ahead of a proven scorer is bonkers to me.

His only hope of gametime is at false 9 when Haaland is injured or needs resting, which will occur more so in the second half of the season.

I don't think Pep trusts his ability on the ball in regards to control to play as one of the 3 attackers behind Haaland.

He loses a the ball a lot to opposition transitions.

Quite frankly I think all 3 should be gone. But bear in mind, Pep and the staff see these guys every day at training. If they really thought this dude was good enough and could make an impact He would be getting consistent minutes week in, week out. I don't think they rate him, and I think they believe in the ceilings of the younger players more than they do of Omar, and the view is we are going to give these guys as many minutes as possible to see if they can develop and grow, the way we have seen with Jeremy this year.

The other side of the coin is both Savinho and Bobb are young players, Omar is almost 27, You have a pretty good idea of the player he is, and the likelihood that he is going to take some giant leap as a winger is pretty low, on the otherhand, we have all seen Oscar's talent at times, and Savinho is a young player who the staff believe can develop, and that's why they are getting the minutes instead of him.
