7 | Omar Marmoush - 2025/26

When you're finished laughing at us, you might let us know what the same things are?

already answered you.

Either they let him have his shot or they have to pay him attention and ease up on Haaland/ Semenyo/ Nico O'Reilly/ Cherki.

But the cliff notes version:

Creating space for the others by being a legit threat on the left flank and press out of possession like a madman.

Absolutely phenomenol movement creating first goal by his movement which pulls his marker away and allows RAN a lane for an assist.

Very underrated player by us..

I think im a bigger fan than most. Just love the way he explodes into everything. His movement. Stop starts, suddenness and intensity is just fantastic.

He is edgy

Yep. Agreed. I think we’re a better - more chaotic - attacking side when he’s in it. His movement is genuinely world class and works hard as well.

Though I was surprised to hear he’s only scored 12 goals in his 50 games with us. Admittedly, (late) substitute performances come into that 50.

That performance sort of sums him up. Always looks dangerous when the ball falls to him but all too rarely is. Doesn't contribute nearly enough apart from the odd goal in 5.
He’s one of those players where everything is so chaotic and random. Some days it will come off and we will think we have a real player on our hands. Other days (more often than not I imagine) he will just look a really poor footballer.

I don't see it yet. Chaotic without the outcome. Never looks particularly in control of himself.

Could be a good asset if he finds some directed chaos.

I thought he do ok. Maybe a run of games might get the best out of him but if he’s not scoring, his flaws are obvious

He lacks composure , but he will get his fair share of goals and assists if he gets the game time , unfortunately when everyone is fit he is on the bench , he was worth a punt , but he isnt top level at the moment. You cant fault his work ethic but for £65m was expecting an end product on a consistent basis , injury issues and Afcon have f*cked his season up , give him another season under Pep and then judge him.

The 65mil paid for itself last season when we were desperate and he delivered.

Would we be in the market for him now, highly unlikely. But no one is going to buy him so I’m happy to keep him around

Think we’d be much better with Doku mys. Got the 2 goal scorers now and Doku to take 2 men, generally scare defences and get us up the pitch when we’re under pressure

If Marmoush was totally useless Pep wouldn't play him.. just like Kalvin.

I guess we’ll see how true this is see when Doku is fully fit.

With Haaland, Semenyo, Marmoush, Doku and Cherki all fit, how often Pep chooses Marmoush over 2 of the others will say a lot about how much he rates him.

I think he'll use them together as a pair of 1 to relieve the other since they both create the same thing (space for others).

Also I've not seen Omar do 90 minutes in a game for City this season and Doku also has muscular issues so will need rest.

Both of them can provide it in bits and sorts.
