It’s a selfish act. It’s one thing if we are two or three up but the game wasn’t done. Mahrez quite rightly gets stick for being selfish, you can’t get much more selfish than what Sterling has just done. He has put personal glory over the benefit of the team. It is not acceptable.

I doubt he just took the ball and insisted on taking it. He fancied to take it himself and asked (nothing wrong in that) but KDB should've just told him no and taken it himself. If not him then Gundo. "Only" criticism I have for Sterling is that it's an awful penalty. But he shouldn't be allowed near it.

Anybody can miss penalties but he misses more than he scores or at least it feels that way. I understand him wanting a goal and having the confidence to take it is admirable but Pep needs to say enough is enough and never let him take a set piece again its detrimental to the team and him.
