He hesitates and overthinks so much.

Very frustrating because he has the ability to get into these big chances, he knows where he needs to be exactly which is a rare thing. But when he is there in the chance and a killer shot is needed he fucks up quite a lot.

Is he not practicing converting sitters?

If you combined Sterling's pace and movement with Aguero's finishing you'd have the perfect striker.

Lost the ball too often, ran down blind alleys too often, checked back and played backwards to often, and his inability to score 1v1s is the reason why he’ll never be in the top class player.

Time to think unfortunately

He’ll always try and work the tap in, by doing too much. He’s spooned too many first time shots to take it on early, because he doesn’t consistently strike it cleanly enough.

That said he isn’t a striker and we shouldn’t be relying on him in that position. It’s a product of circumstance - that circumstance being poor recruitment strategy.

We should have brought in a clinical striker to learn behind Sergio years ago. Instead we bought Mahrez and took an age to get a solid CB in (I pray Dias is that man).

Allow me to illustrate your point... almost as many big chances wasted as goals scored - it’s quite impressive in a way.

The game summed him up. Can’t rely on him for finishing consistently. His movement is amazing but his finishing and touch are no where near top level.

Yes he scores a lot of goals because of his movement but he also wastes far too much.

I certainly wouldn’t bet on him if he was through 1 on 1 with any keeper.
