The technical issues he has will never be fixed, in my opinion.
At that age probably not.

But instead of letting him play vs Wan-Bissaka knowing he can't beat him (to give Raz an extra portion of frustration, or what!?)
we should support his strengths that he HAS,
that is workrate and especially acceleration.
Back then David or Kev were playing the balls into channels and Raz would have a go, where's that today? Where?

Raz won't win 1on1s so Pep has to help the lad and let him play to his strengths ffs. That was being pisspoor by Pep playing Raz vs W-B
when our neighbour and his dog knew Foden has W-B in his pocket.

Raz had to suffer for Pep being stubborn. Shame.

That attempted pass to an overlapping Gundogan late first half, pissed me off more than that wild swing and a miss.

His weight of pass is simply inept. This is something he regularly gets wrong. The amount of power he puts into a simple five yard pass is appalling. It's almost as though the person he's trying to find, appears, in his mind, to be five times further away than he actually is.

The technical issues he has will never be fixed, in my opinion.
He can’t put that much power into his shots

Its not Haaland or Mbappe we'd be looking to swap him with,it would be the likes of Grealish,Saka,Neto or Raphinha......players with more consistency, purpose and intensity - players that lift bums off seats! not sit them back down.
Some on here think the replacement has to be a top 5 player in the world for us to improve, and maybe they were correct when he was banging in the goals. This current Sterling doesn't need a top 5 player replacement.

Totally agree. It was sad to see racism dragged into the debate last night, there was no reason at all for that.
It’s despairing to see idiots online posting racist abuse about any footballers. It’s telling that they can’t articulate their disappointment or frustrations in a more constructive way. If I’m honest I doubt any of them are actual football fans - just cretins out to jump on a band waggon as a means to spout their bile.

I can’t believe that any of them are reading these player threads and using what they read as fuel though - I think that’s a stretch.

I think the vast majority of what’s posted on here are fair opinions - some articulated well, others not so.

I would urge some people to consider their language - not from a swearing stand point - but from the stance that; if the player concerned read these posts, would they recognise it as constructive criticism or MIGHT they read it as abuse? Even if it’s not intended as such.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion but sometimes our emotional investment in the club blunts our thoughts down to sweeping statements. Comments like “fucking shite” might reflect our feelings and sum up a performance. They might resonate with other posters, but they don’t offer anything past that - the valuable nugget of “here’s why” is lost.

I’ve been guilty of it, and although it might make us sound like armchair pundits, posting a paragraph of text, at least it’ll have some constructive value and not seem like abuse.

Here‘s some constructive criticism, practice your fucking shooting Raheem! And work on your legs more in the gym so you can get some bloody power in your shots.

Nope,id be more than happy to bring back a far more consistent, reliable, and purposeful,Jack Harrison as a replacement.

Honestly he's shown time and again he can do what we wish for,
actually it must be in his head.
Any family stories going on maybe? Wouldn't be astonishing.

It’s constructive, can’t deny that.

I don’t think he needs to go in the gym though - I’m not sure it’s power that’s the problem I think it’s just technique, composure and confidence.

Time on the training ground shooting I agree with whole heartedly. It’s then whether he can remain composed on the pitch to produce the same result.

Pep‘s fault. Should play your best 11 in a Derby end of. If Foden, Silva and Walker are not in his best 11 then we can forget the Champions League at the business end of the season.
We are far better with Cancelo than Walker imo. I also think that in big games Foden can be a bit hit and miss sometimes, but he probably would’ve done better against AWB than Raz. Agreed re Silva though. I think he should’ve played instead of Jesus.

Otherwise I think the line up was okay but you can’t legislate for your supposed “striker” giving the game away in the first minute.
