I think he was very far from brilliant.

He made bad decisions, he scuffed passes(one break could have been deadly had he not fluffed the easy pass out wide to phil), he ran into dead ends etc etc. He showed a little more endevour but that was still a 5/10 for me. Nothing came off for him.

If people think that display was brilliant then where is the bar for quality? Being able to functionally dribble? Is that brilliant?

I thought with the exception of his execution, he was a threat all game and did ok. He is off form but hopefully that will return.

He created at least 3 excellent chances (which Foden and Gundogan should have scored from), had one snap shot at goal just saved, and he won the foul that lead to us winning the cup.

What's the bar for what you think is a good game for a winger?

He wasn’t brilliant, he was much improved. It’s a starting point.
