Well because all the other players offer you more than just scoring goals. Ball retention(Bernardo, Mahrez, Grealish), dribbling(Foden, Jesus, Grealish), passing(KDB), pressing and energy(Bernardo, Foden, Jesus), shooting outside the box(KDB, Foden, Mahrez)… if Sterling doesn’t score what does he bring? The poor lad gets judged more harshly than the other players by you lot. Whenever he doesn't score and we drop points you all blame him for it , if others players also don't score they get a pass in here.
well you cant honestly tell me he wasnt played out of his natural position with all the current players we haveWell because all the other players offer you more than just scoring goals. I feel his fans are so oblivious to this aspect. They reduce it everything to: Sterling scored so he had a good match.
We could easily have brought a striker and changed style again , peps style is not set in stone, it is too soon to write any of them offPeople have been saying "he's a couple of goals away from being back to his old self" for such a long time...yet he got goals for england and yet still looked his usual self for city upon return...
He was brilliant in pep's first few seasons(which we were at our most lethal imo) but he's had it especially with our current style.
To turn things around goals wont be the factor it will be a complete change in our strategy. That wont happen though because last time we played to his strengths we were leaking goals for fun.
What’s his natural position?well you cant honestly tell me he wasnt played out of his natural position with all the current players we have
