We can't afford to carry him any longer. It's obviously not a blip, it's a full on trough.
No confidence, technically one of the poorer players we have & so so poor with his decision making.
He's well down the pecking order now & will struggle to start many games now we're out of the Carabao.
Such a shame as when he was on form, he was such a great player for us.

Not gonna say he was the worst on the pitch but it's another 90 minutes with nothing to show for it. That header at the end was just wank.

Try to hold off from slagging players on these threads but fuck me, he has had enough opportunities. Either running down blind alleys or missing sitters. Don't get me wrong there were 2 or 3 others who were just as bad today but this has been going on for so long now.

him not taking a pen now or at the Euros final says everything about his confidence. and without confidence he is "dead" as his performances show it.

but can we find a buyer for him? seems hard to see who will pay large sum for him given his form. hope it wont end him leaving for completely free.

Can you think of another player in world football who continues to get playing time despite being as horrible as Sterling? I don’t think we’ve ever seen something like this.

He's in the shop window. Hopefully he'll regain some form, attract a buyer, and we can all part happily.

That free header straight at the keeper sums him up.

It really doesn't. Sterling isn't likely to score that header even at his peak goalscoring form.

The fact we were relying on a crossing into the box to a 5'7'' player to score a header in the 94th minute sums up the match though.

And it was the only shot on target from inside the box in the last half an hour.

There’s his chance to show he’s worth a place in the first team, he’s the second highest paid player at the club, supposed to be a superstar… but yet again he was absolutely fucking terrible! He’s become an awful footballer.

Not worthy of starting another game until we play Yeovil in the FA Cup Third Round.

It doesn't matter how tall you are when you hardly need to jump, it was a simple header inside the six yard box with no defenders around him and he blew it, and even if it was a one on one he'd have blown it too because that's just him.
