7 reasons why I like Everton

In response to the "7 reasons I hate Everton" thread. I actually like them as a club and here's why.

1) They play in blue.
2) Their ground reminds us what football stadiums used to be like, built in the middle of terraced streets instead of out-of-town retail parks.
3) They live in the shadow of red-clad neighbours who think they have a divine right to win everything and think they are better supporters because they have won things.
4) Apart from City, I have more Everton supporting mates than any other club
5) They don't attract glory-hunters.
6) I love it when they play Z-Cars as it really raises the tension and expectation far more than some of the souless stuff they do at other grounds.
7) A lot of great connections - Joe Mercer, Joe Royle, Alan Ball, Paul Power, Andy Hinchcliffe, Brian Kidd, Richard Dunne, etc.

Proper football club as far as i'm concerned that have a much much richer history than us,i take there sudden distain for us as a compliment to be honest,clearly down to jealousy and nowt more.

We hated Chelsea when they bullied us into flogging SWP,similar thing

Since becoming MCFC in 1894 we've had as many ex-Everton players as manager than ex-City. Everton: Thomson, Mercer, Saunders, Kendall, Reid, Ball, Royle & Hughes.

Actually Lescott has come good at City....shame that he is now injured again.

Moyse is just a hypocritical gob shite, who really bad mouthed City this last year, that's why we don't like him. We didn't hear him whinge as much when United were after Rooney, why?... because he is up Ferguson's backside and knows he is in with as good a chance as anyone of taking his job at The Swamp when he retires..... what will Everton fans think of Moyse then?

I agree with all those points Prestwich,all bar one.......Alan Ball is not a good connection,I would say he's a very bad connection indeed!!
