In certain games he is good at what he does, take the two ties against Madrid for example. But as soon as we come up against a side with athletic & quick midfielders, he becomes an enormous hindrance to us defensively.

Useful at tidying up and setting the tempo against equally slow midfields, likewise when we play sides that put little to no pressure on us. But against the better teams (or even those with just quick players on the break like United, Wolves, Lyon) he gets exploited badly.

I agree with all of this, except the tempo bit. The only tempo Gundogan sets is slow.

Exactly and I think that is intentional on Pep’s part at times. Us slowing things down and just keeping possession is our way of holding on to a lead.

Gundogan has been unlucky with knee injuries and lost pace granted
But what a great goal (free kick I think ) at Brighton

As to Gundogon- slows down attacks and misses so many opportunities. A sub to stabilise a game, but that's it.

Every club needs a scapegoat, not a proper club without one.
At 24, kungsley coman had just scored the winner in a champions league final, to add to his mammoth haul of medals, yet some of those on this thread were calling him "shite"
If Gundoghan went , there are plenty , people would find to fill the "blindspot" role.

What does anything we post about any player on here actually achieve? Nothing.

If it makes people feel better to have a whinge about Gundogan on here then just avoid the thread and leave them to it. It'll make no difference to him or City and Pep will still pick him, even though he's shite ;-)

The reason why he gets a good kicking, as you say, is for his poor bastard team mates who are far better than him yet get left on the bench whilst he seems to be first name on the team sheet.

We paid £25m for him he has been instrumental in helping us to half a dozen trophies since he arrived , alongside Jesus probably our best value signing since Pep arrived.
One thing i do agree with Guardiola likes him so yours , mine and every other f*ckers opinion doesnt matter one jot, which makes an additional idiotic thread about Gundogan an exercise in futility.
