One of the better performers today. Some lovely turns in tight spaces and kept the ball well, his shooting wasn’t up to his usual standard we’ve seen in the last few weeks though. Works better with Bernardo next to him IMO

Yeah, he is either told to as we know KDB gives the ball away all the time and we need him deep to stand a chance against counters. OR, with the intelligence that Gundogan has on the pitch, maybe he is taking that decision himself and feels much less able to take up those advanced positions ahead of the ball as he is worried about having to go the other way. Whichever it is, it’s fucking shit. We have potentially killed Ilkay’s incredible form by picking players based on their name instead of their form. Kev has no place in this team right now, maybe false 9 at a push.

I may be wrong but it felt he played much deeper in the second half? Thought he was pretty good in the first half but invisible in the second half.

He had 4 shots, so he got forward plenty. All of them were basically passes to Henderson though. He does play deeper with Kev on the pitch though and all the extra defensive work(no Bernie and Cancelo was clearly told to stay wide) probably saps the energy and effectiveness when further forward.

well that's decided, gundo or kev with bernardo and rodri, moving on, up top who wants who :)

i actually think that is the way forward, gundo or kev ,but not together, i really like bernardo in there, he grafts and has quality, plus imo mahrez plays better with berny in the team.
