Gundo didnt have the same influence in the derby game , surprised there hasnt been a pile on from the usual suspects , is the incredulously stupid Gundogan blindspot thread still available ?
Well, it doesn't work anymore since we had the scientific proof that Gundy isn't shite per se - in a favourable setup. Case closed ;)Gundo didnt have the same influence in the derby game , surprised there hasnt been a pile on from the usual suspects , is the incredulously stupid Gundogan blindspot thread still available ?

No longer a need.He deserves his place now his fitness and confidence have returned.Yesterdays below par effort was again due to the shoehorning of KDB.
Kevs presence detrimentally affects both him and Bernie,IMHO of course.
Quite sure the club will find a place in the team for KDB , we have experienced huge success when he has been selected and he has shown more consistency than both Gundo and Bernardo in the last few seasons , there will be a solution where all three of these excellent footballers can play in the same team. When this happens the rest of europe had better beware.
He wasn't wank at all. Lots of lazy commentary by some fans. His movement was great, his positioning and his passing were very good. So was his interceptions and recovery.People will say he was wank, but I don’t think he was the worst out there. The only player that found himself in decent positions, just needed to do better when it came to shooting.
Agreed - definitely one of our better players on the day. You wonder if some people just look at the score and the scorers and then postHe wasn't wank at all. Lots of lazy commentary by some fans. He just didn't score. And also didn't run the game, coz it went through Kev. But wank? Hardly!
Spot on,unfortunately he's just become a victim of Kev's forced inclusion. He wasn't wank at all. Lots of lazy commentary by some fans. His movement was great, his positioning and his passing were very good. So was his interceptions and recovery.

I agree with you with the exception that I don't believe Pep picks players based on their name, we may not agree with his selection but I think that his past record shows he is not afraid to take "name" players out of a team. I think "right now" he has a dilemma in that he needs to tweak the successful system pre K's return, too much, to phase in a below par Kevin, he wants to get Kevin back up to speed, but the number of games left for any form of experimentation are not there, at least until the league hopefully is secured, maybe the same scenario for Sergio. With all players now available it's like we have 2 teams and the need for 2 systems as well and it is the wrong end of the season for that second system to evolve. A free roaming false 9 role for Kevin in a team that includes Gundogan & Bernie is worth a try certainly, particularly as we don't have a "first name on the teamsheet" striker and I think it would be much less disruptive defensively and offensively than the set up we saw on Sunday.Yeah, he is either told to as we know KDB gives the ball away all the time and we need him deep to stand a chance against counters. OR, with the intelligence that Gundogan has on the pitch, maybe he is taking that decision himself and feels much less able to take up those advanced positions ahead of the ball as he is worried about having to go the other way. Whichever it is, it’s fucking shit. We have potentially killed Ilkay’s incredible form by picking players based on their name instead of their form. Kev has no place in this team right now, maybe false 9 at a push.
