Spoke to some Blackburn fans after the game and they said we were the loudest fans they’d ever heard at Ewood that day.

If I remember right, I'd had a frank exchange of views on here with @SWP's back (who I didn't know then) on the Friday night. Met up with a few (including @mackenzie and @Aphex) at Victoria Station to get the train up and was introduced to the very same. It was a bit awkward as he's a lot bigger than me (who isn't) but I like to think we've been friends since then.

It was bloody hot that day. Toss up as to whether it was hotter than at Upton Park for Sven's first game.

It was a good day all round. I remember seeing Sue Clarke there too (bluebird1 on here at that time I think), although didn't get chance to talk.
My era for BM meet ups was 2004 to 2012. Not done any since, mainly because some of the old Waldorf crew died off (literally) and I missed them.

I was delighted when Mangala signed as he’d been exceptional for Porto. That 1-1 v Chelsea. Too good. It happens.

Top day out that. Brilliant result and it felt that something special was happening. The weather was a wonderful bonus.
