With Tommy Doyle & James McAtee returning to the squad, I can see Rico Lewis & Cole Palmer going out on loan to gain playing time.

Both very talented lads and it will be interesting to see how their careers progress. I do think Lavia may be that rare thing - a youngster that City regret letting leave.

Good point, the fickle finger of Fate. So many good young players are now coming through, however, that it might start to become more common. We’ll never be able to accommodate them all, which means that at some point we’re going to start hearing accusations of ‘how did they let him slip through their fingers?’ Back to those fickle fingers…
