Like a pig in shit in the inverted role. Gets to get fully stuck in, play under constant pressure, as well as get up the pitch and contribute offensively. Hes shown enough in 2 games that Pep doesnt have to crowbar Akanji or Stones in at RB, he can be trusted.

He was decent tonight. I'm always sceptical about young players coming through because so few of them actually make it regularly into the first team but he looks comfortable and at 18 that's a damned good starting point.

Very good performance against the hardest running team in the league.

There were a few occasions in the first half where he was a bit lost positionally when we had the ball and de Bruyne was pointing at him to move into space or run with him as he progressed forward and he didn’t do it and Kev got frustrated.

Yet, not a month later, not a week later, in the second fucking half, he was understanding where to be more and getting into the right positions more. Learning, listening, observing, understanding and adjusting his game within the same game of football at 18 years old… that’s fucking mint to see that!

This young man will save the club millions of £s and he doesn`t look out of place. He lost the ball a few times but it doesn`t get him down and he`s there the next minute with a couple of tasty crunching tackles.
Get in there me son and Pep and Txiki, has he asked for a pay rise yet. ;)
