Was he exceptional when playing with the academy? Seems to have come from nowhere. Plenty of other youngest get the attention but never really heard anyone speak of him potentially breaking in to the first team squad.

Well he captained the U18s to the title last season and always looked really good whenever I saw him play.

I wonder if Lewis’s performances will make Pep trust the academy a bit more going forward. He still seems to err on the side of caution at times and will only bring them on when we’re at least two goals up. But I think there are a few players in our academy who could do just as well if they were given a chance.

He's like Phillip Lahm. Incredibly intelligent always knows what to do where to pass where to go and be.

He plays this specific role better then Cancelo and Walker. Walker can't really do the midfield role and Cancelo is just a risk he's to rash

I'm weird in the sense I like to see the teammate reactions when we're scoring a goal and at around 2 minutes here, when Grealish intercepts the ball it looks like Lewis crosses his fingers/prays that we score it. Made me laugh.

Talent like Foden and recently Rico is very rare, not every generation will produce talent like both.

To be fair I’d say the same of palmer and Mcatee. They could save us so much money

The best thing i can say about the kid is that every other City player was confident enough in his ability that they never shied away from giving him the ball, even when he had Leeds players near him.
To have seasoned pro's showing that much faith in his abilty says it all.
He was fantastic last night
