I think when they have been at a club so long, childhood allegiances fade away. He’ll be as blue as us now

Lewis looks like he is going to be a star if he keeps improving. Might just be perfect timing as walkers career (for us and england) slowly creeps to its end over the next few seasons , rico is going to be a 20/21 year old with probs 75 appearances already.

What’s the contract situation? I think he signed his first professional one in the Summer didn’t he? Hopefully we’re looking to tie him down further too. Presumably we are and there won’t be hiccups

The best thing about last night is that hopefully we won’t see a CB at RB again. I perfectly accept Kyle Walker coming back at Leeds but at the same time think Lewis is now the back up when he doesn’t play. Should be looking to start 10-15+ games now til end of season in all comps.

seriously impressed with this lad last night. The way he took the ball under pressure time and time again, and that senior players were confident enough to give it him says a lot!

Rico’s coming on is massive for us down the stretch. Should Walker miss time, we no longer need to force Stones or another CB to cover the position. Wonder what this does for our CB situation though… we’re looking at 3 CBs who have had perfectly respectable campaigns not playing in the XI. Good problem to have considering how congested the calendar is post World Cup.

Have to imagine at least one CB leaves in the summer.

I really hope he becomes top full-back with us. The market for full-backs is one of the worst. With barely any quality in the market. Which is why we targeted dross like Cucurella, who thankfully signed for Chelsea.

The next Foden? Would you rate him as further advanced in his development than Palmer at the moment? He seems to have improved rapidly in the last 6-9 months or so. He only made his senior debut in august (vs Bournemouth). And looked right at home the other night against the bestest team in the world. Definitely one to get excited about.
