I'll step into flames, given his size he gets physically bullied by every midfielder he's ever played against. He makes good runs, positioning etc all brilliant. but I don't think he's really been effective in most of his midfield appearances purely because he gets run through easier than anyone in the pep era, and wouldn't play him there over nunes or Kovacic until his technique is so good he literally never loses the ball despite his size. I don't think it's there yet, and he should play in less games and when he does play it should be as an inverted RB rather than an 8.

I know it's a game of opinions and there are a few bits of justified criticism amongst it all but I'll never cease to be amazed at how many Tim Sherwoods come out of the woodwork whenever we drop points.
